Volunteering with Sharp County Search and Rescue is a rewarding way to support our charitable organization and make a positive impact in the community.
Interested individuals can visit our website to learn about the various volunteer roles available, from assisting with search and rescue operations to providing administrative support.

Sharp County Search and Rescue is a charitable organization dedicated to providing emergency response rescue services to the local community.
Our team of trained professionals are equipped to handle a wide range of situations, including wilderness search, rescue, natural disaster response, and more.
We also provide National Certification courses to Law Enforcement, Fire Departments, Office of Emergency Management and the public. Anyone wishing to learn more about SAR.
We work closely with local authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of all those in need.
SARTECH or Search and Rescue Technician is a certification issued by the National Search and Rescue Association (NASAR) after training and testing.
NO, National Search and Rescue Association (NASAR) or Arkansas Search and Rescue Association (ASARA) does not endorse individual teams that we are aware of.
However, SCSAR is a member team of ASARA, Dave Gruger is a sitting board member.
Several of our Team members are individual members of NASAR.
We are now to our Law Enforcement and Fire Department partners Search and Rescue Training.
We are working on dates to do a Introduction to Search and Rescue course that will be open to anyone.
As we set these course dates, we will be posting those in our events section along with sign up and payment options.
Either or can request us to help search.
Keep in mind though, if a family requests us to help, we will first speak to the Incident Commander (IC) or Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
Often times, those in charge may have a reason in which they would hold off on asking us to help.
